Lets see.... My last weekend in Brisbane, Annette took me on a little trip up the coast a ways to stop in a few beach towns along the sunshine coast. Caloundra and Noosa being the main two. It wasn't the most fantastic weather, but certainly good enough to still hangout on the beach a bit, have some AMAZING fancy cinnamon/apple/blueberry/vanilla gelato pancakes at a little cafe along the boardwalk, annnnd do a little shopping :) Darn you Lorna Jane and your super cute athletic wear.... I finally caved :(

Annette took the day off work Monday and we went over to Tangalooma Island for the day. Annette complained about having to catch a realllllly early ferry... but she was the one that booked the trip ;). Thankfully the weather cooperated most of the day. We went for a long walk all the way down the beach, went to the bird talk where we watched the girl feed and talk about the pelicans and the hawks, which was actually pretty cool. Pelicans are a lot larger then I expected. And they have really funny cartoonish eyeballs... I think so anyways. We also went out on a boat that took us out to the shipwrecks where we got to feed some fish and were lucky enough to see a dugong on the way out :) I was supposed to get a free catamaran sailing lesson which I waited for when we first got there, and attempted again later in the afternoon, but apparently it was "too windy"... excuses.

Aside from a delicious home cooked dinner from Angus, a funny night of Annette the bartender's experimental "daquiri's", and a few more obsessive compulsive licks from Spud, I packed up my bags, and was on a train to the airport to catch my flight and start the next part of my adventure!
